Shortlist AI visibility agencies in Dubai on one question: can they show you their measurement method and a dated log of real AI answers, or are they selling a score? Ask for the exact prompts tested, the platforms, the dates, and the responses where you were not mentioned. An agency that cannot produce the failures is not measuring anything.
The short version
- A citation, a mention and a recommendation are three different things. Any proposal that merges them into one number is hiding which one moved.
- Ask for the raw responses, including the ones where you did not appear. Measurement without failures is marketing.
- Nobody can guarantee a position in an AI answer. Treat a guarantee as a reason to remove an agency from the list.
- Google says special AI files and special markup are not required for its AI features, so an llms.txt file is not a product.
What does an AI visibility agency actually do?
Three things, and they are worth separating because agencies price them as one. First, measurement: asking the engines a fixed set of buyer questions on a schedule and recording what comes back. Second, source work: making your site retrievable and your facts consistent across the places the engines read. Third, content work: building pages that answer the question a buyer actually typed, in a form that can be quoted.
The first is the one most proposals skip, and it is the one that tells you whether the other two worked. Without a dated baseline you cannot distinguish a real improvement from a model update.
Which AI visibility agencies should a Dubai business shortlist?
This is an editorial shortlist based on publicly described services, checked in October 2026. AdGrow publishes this article and is included in it, so it is not an independent ranking. The descriptions are each agency’s own stated positioning, not evidence of outcomes.
| Agency | Publicly described focus | Question to ask them |
|---|---|---|
| AdGrow | AI visibility for UAE e-commerce, clinics and service businesses, measured with AI crawler and citation logs on our own site | Show me the prompts, dates and the responses where your own client was not mentioned. |
| SEO Sherpa | Generative engine optimisation combining technical SEO, content marketing and digital PR | Which part of the result comes from PR placements we would have to keep paying for? |
| Tenet | LLM SEO and entity optimisation targeting ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity | How do you measure an entity change, and over what period? |
| A2Z Digital | AI visibility audits, structured data, answer-ready content and monthly tracking across five engines | What does the monthly tracking actually record, and can we see a sample report? |
| Azizi Technologies | Getting businesses cited and recommended inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot | Which of cited, mentioned and recommended are you committing to? |
| Push | A four-stage GEO approach across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and emerging platforms | What happens at each stage, and what is the deliverable at the end of stage one? |
Several of these agencies also publish their own GEO shortlists, and most of those lists put the publisher first. That is worth knowing when you read any of them, including this one.
What evidence should an AI visibility agency show you?
A response log, not a dashboard score. The log should record the exact prompt, the platform and model where shown, whether web search was on, the language, the location setting, the date, the full response, which brands were named, and which URLs were cited. It should include the runs where nothing was mentioned.
Here is where we stand on our own evidence. We run Profound Agent Analytics on adgrow.ae, so we have real AI crawler and citation log data from a live UAE site rather than an estimate. We publish what the logs show and nothing beyond it. We do not quote a citation count as a headline, because a count without the prompt set and the dates behind it is not a measurement. Most UAE agencies selling AI visibility are not measuring their own.
How should the testing actually be done?
Pick a fixed set of buyer questions and do not change them between waves, or you cannot compare. Use fresh conversations. Never use a prompt that asks the model to recommend you by name, because the answer is worthless.
A workable monthly baseline is five questions per service line across three platforms, each repeated three times, because these systems are not deterministic. That is 45 responses per line per wave. Record the failures with the successes. Then separate three measures: the share of responses that name you at all, the share that link to a page of yours, and the share that put you in the top three of a recommendation.
| Measure | What it means | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Brand mention rate | Responses naming you, divided by valid responses | That anyone clicked, or that the answer was positive |
| Citation rate | Responses linking to a URL of yours | That you were recommended, only that you were used as a source |
| Top three recommendation rate | Responses listing you among the first three suggested providers | A ranking. It is a sample, on a date, in one language and location |
What should you refuse to pay for?
A guaranteed position in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews. Nobody controls the output of a model they do not own, and a guarantee means either the agency does not understand that or is relying on you not checking.
An llms.txt file sold as the product. Google has said plainly that special AI text files and special markup are not required for its AI search features. The file costs nothing to add and is not a strategy. The same applies to a fixed answer length or a particular schema type sold as a ranking shortcut. Use headings, summaries and structured data because they help a reader understand the page, which is also what makes a passage quotable.
A single blended visibility score with no method behind it. If you cannot see the prompts, you cannot audit the number, and a number you cannot audit will only ever go up.
What should the first 60 days produce?
A documented baseline wave with the raw responses attached. A list of the specific pages and facts that need changing, in priority order, with a reason for each. Evidence that the engines can fetch your pages at all, which is a surprisingly common failure caused by firewall rules rather than content. Then a second wave using the identical prompt set, so the comparison means something.
What it should not produce is a score that went up with no explanation of which pages or sources changed.
A mistake worth avoiding: judging AI visibility on traffic. A large share of AI-assisted journeys arrive as direct traffic or never click at all, because the answer was given in the response. We have seen a page hold position one in Google with roughly 330 impressions producing a single click, while inquiries arrived saying they had found us through an AI answer. If you measure this work by sessions you will conclude it is not working at the exact moment it starts to.
If you want to see what the engines currently say about your business, our free AI visibility audit runs a real prompt set and sends you the raw responses, including the ones where you are not mentioned. Request the free audit, or read how we work on AI visibility.
Frequently asked questions
Which AI visibility agency should a Dubai business choose?
The one that will show you its method and its failures. Ask every agency on your shortlist for a sample response log with prompts, dates, platforms and the runs where the client was not named. Most cannot produce one. Ask us the same question on the same terms.
How much does AI visibility work cost in Dubai?
It depends on the number of pages, platforms and languages in scope and whether the agency implements changes or only recommends them. Compare a starting audit, a defined improvement project and ongoing monitoring as three separate scopes rather than one monthly figure. We go through how to compare those quotes in our guide to AI visibility costs in Dubai.
Is GEO different from SEO?
It overlaps heavily and is not a replacement. The engines mostly read pages that classic search can already reach and index, so crawlability, clear structure and accurate facts still do the work. What changes is that the unit of success becomes a quotable passage and a consistent entity rather than a blue link position.
Can an agency guarantee my business appears in ChatGPT?
No, and the guarantee itself is the warning. Access makes retrieval possible, and good sources make selection more likely, but no agency controls which businesses a model names in a given answer. Treat any guarantee as a reason to take that agency off your list.
