Laser clinic marketing in Dubai and the UAE

Where the course, not the session, is the product.

AdGrow runs laser campaigns for clinics in Dubai and across the UAE: hair removal, IPL, carbon facials, pigmentation and tattoo removal. Laser is the one treatment line where UAE patients already know roughly what it should cost, which changes what advertising can do for you.

You cannot out-bid your way to a cheaper laser enquiry, because the band is narrow and everyone is in it. What you can do is design a package worth completing and measure the account on courses sold rather than sessions booked.

The anchor number

The narrowest band
on the board.

Laser enquiries cost between AED 35 and AED 56. That is a spread of about sixty percent, against threefold on filler. The stability is the strategic fact about this treatment.

A laser hair removal enquiry in Dubai costs between AED 35 and AED 56. Compare that with dermal filler at AED 66 to AED 202 and the difference is not really about price, it is about variance. Filler cost moves threefold with the offer and the creative. Laser barely moves at all.

That tells you something uncomfortable and useful: on laser, media buying is close to a commodity. Every competent clinic in Dubai can buy a laser enquiry for about the same money, because the patient already knows what the treatment is, already knows roughly what it costs, and decides fast.

Which means the account is not won in Ads Manager. It is won on what happens after the enquiry: what the patient is offered, how many sessions they commit to, and how many of those sessions they actually attend. On a Dubai clinic account we manage, across 35 months and AED 1M+ of Meta spend, the blended cost per patient lead is AED 62.72; laser sits comfortably below it and still produced the weakest margin on the account until the package changed.

Cost per enquiry, AED. The bar is the band each treatment moves inside on live UAE clinic accounts.

TreatmentCost per leadWhat sets it
Facial & HydraFacialAED 21 – 54Impulse-adjacent and cheap to enter, so it sets the floor on almost every clinic account in this market.
Laser hair removalAED 35 – 56A known treatment at a known price. Low variance, which is exactly why the advantage has to come from the package.
Botox & DysportAED 50 – 116A repeat habit in a crowded auction, sensitive to how the offer is worded rather than to the bid.
Dermal fillerAED 66 – 202Higher ticket, longer research, and a thin pool of ready buyers at any given moment.
Clear alignersAED 72 – 152A months-long decision on a five-figure treatment, so the enquiry is dear and the case is worth it.

The number that actually decides a laser account is course completion. Six to eight sessions is a normal hair removal course. A patient who buys a course and attends three has paid you once and cost you a slot six times. A patient who completes refers. We have seen two clinics with the same cost per enquiry and a two-to-one difference in revenue per patient, entirely from scheduling and reminders.

So we report laser on cost per course sold and on completion rate, and treat cost per enquiry as a hygiene metric that should simply stay inside its band.

The method

How we run a
laser account.

Laser rewards operational discipline more than clever buying. These five are where the margin is.

  • Sell the course, price the entry. A single-session price invites a single session, and a single session on laser does almost nothing visible, which means the patient concludes the treatment does not work. We structure the offer so the first appointment is easy to say yes to and the course is the obvious thing to buy once the patient is in the chair and the plan has been explained.
  • Design for completion from the first message. Book the next session before the patient leaves, confirm by WhatsApp two days out, and treat a missed session as a recovery task rather than a lost slot. Completion is a scheduling problem dressed up as a marketing problem, and it moves revenue per patient further than any creative change we could make.
  • Buy the machine names. Patients in Dubai search Soprano, Candela, Alma and specific wavelengths by name, often after a consultation somewhere else. That search intent is cheap, it is late in the decision, and most clinic accounts we audit are not bidding on it. If your clinic has invested in a particular platform, say its name where people are typing it.
  • Advertise against the calendar, not continuously. Laser demand in the UAE has a shape: it builds from February, peaks before summer, falls through the hottest months when sun exposure advice puts patients off, and dips again over Ramadan before Eid. A flat monthly budget overpays in the troughs and underbuys the peak. We plan spend against that curve.
  • Qualify on hair and skin type, politely, in the form. Laser outcomes depend on the combination of hair colour, skin tone and the platform you run, and a patient who is not a candidate costs your clinic a consultation slot and leaves disappointed. Two well-worded questions on the form prevent most of that, and they raise the cost per enquiry on purpose.

What we build

The parts of a
laser campaign.

Course-led offer architecture

An entry appointment that is easy to book, a course that is the obvious upgrade, and a price ladder that makes completion the cheapest per session. Built with you around your machine time and your margins.

Seasonal media plan

Spend weighted to the pre-summer build and the Eid window, pulled back through the deep-summer trough. Same annual budget, placed where the demand is, which typically buys more courses for the same money.

Machine and wavelength search capture

Search campaigns on the platform names your clinic actually runs, plus the comparison terms patients use when they are deciding between two clinics rather than deciding whether to have laser at all.

Candidacy-aware lead forms

Short, specific questions on hair and skin type and treatment area. Fewer enquiries, materially higher consultation-to-course rate, and far fewer appointments that were never going to work.

Completion and rebooking sequences

WhatsApp reminders built off the session interval, a recovery message for a missed appointment, and a maintenance sequence once a course finishes so the patient comes back for touch-ups instead of disappearing.

Reporting on courses, not leads

A weekly report that shows cost per enquiry, consultation-to-course rate, cost per course sold and completion rate. The first number is hygiene; the last three are the business.

The economics

Why two clinics
with the same cost per lead earn differently.

Take two Dubai laser clinics both buying enquiries at AED 45. The first sells single sessions and converts a third of consultations. The second sells six-session courses, converts a quarter of consultations, and gets eighty percent of those patients to the end of the course.

The second clinic has a worse consultation conversion rate and a worse cost per booked patient. It also earns several times more per enquiry, because it is selling a different product. Nothing in the ad account explains the gap, and no amount of optimisation inside Ads Manager would close it.

This is why we push back when a clinic asks us to lower laser cost per lead. The band is narrow and you are probably already in it; there is very little left to win there. The available gains are in the package and in attendance, and they are much larger than the ones we could find in the auction.

The practical first step is usually unglamorous: work out your contribution per completed course, divide by the consultation-to-course rate and the attendance rate, and you have the real ceiling on what a laser enquiry is worth to you. Most clinics discover they can afford considerably more than they are paying, and have been throttling the campaign that works.

One caution on the ceiling. Affording a dearer enquiry is not a reason to pay for a worse one. Raise the bid only after the form is filtering on candidacy, otherwise you buy more of the enquiries your consultations already cannot convert.

One treatment line on a Dubai clinic account we manage, run with its own offer and its own audience rather than as a share of a pooled clinic budget. The cost sits below the account's blended AED 62.72, which is what you would expect from a treatment at the familiar end of the board.

The change that mattered was not the cost. It was moving the offer from a session to a course, so that the enquiries this campaign produced were being sold something worth more than one appointment.

  • Entry appointment advertised, course sold in the chair
  • Candidacy questions added to the form, volume deliberately reduced

The account this page draws on: a multi-branch Dubai aesthetic clinic we manage, AED 1M+ of lifetime Meta spend, more than 16,000 patient enquiries, blended at AED 62.72. Laser, facials, injectables and skin all run inside it with separate campaigns and separate targets.

Testing at that volume is what makes the treatment-level ranges on this page worth anything. A clinic running one campaign for six treatments never finds out what each of them actually costs.

  • One campaign per treatment, each funded to clear the learning phase
  • 101 ad sets tested, which is what makes the ranges here meaningful
  • A separate cost-per-lead target held for every treatment line

How we work with laser clinics

Operational detail,
not just media buying.

What you get

  • Reporting on cost per course sold and completion rate, not just cost per lead
  • A seasonal media plan built around the UAE laser demand curve
  • Search coverage on the machine names your clinic actually runs
  • Candidacy questions on the form, and the honest trade-off explained first
  • Your clinic keeps the account, the footage and every patient record

What you won't get

  • A single-session price ad that teaches patients laser does not work
  • A flat monthly budget spread evenly across a seasonal category
  • Volume targets met by admitting enquiries your consultations cannot convert
  • A report that stops at the enquiry and never reaches the course

Questions

What laser clinics
ask us first.

It stops trying to win on cost per enquiry, because the laser band is narrow and every competent clinic in Dubai is already inside it. The work that pays is structuring a course-led offer, planning spend against the UAE seasonal curve, capturing the machine-name searches your competitors ignore, filtering on candidacy at the form, and building the reminder sequences that get patients to the end of a course.

Between AED 35 and AED 56 on the account we manage, which is the narrowest range of any treatment on it. For context the blended average across every treatment on that account, over 35 months and AED 1M+ of Meta spend, is AED 62.72. If your laser cost per enquiry is far outside that band, the usual causes are a mistargeted audience or a form that is admitting people who are not candidates.

Advertise an entry appointment and sell the course in the chair. A single-session price gets booked, produces almost no visible result, and leaves the patient concluding that laser does not work for them. The course is the product; the ad only has to make the first appointment easy to say yes to.

Demand builds from February, peaks in the weeks before summer, falls through the hottest months when sun-exposure advice puts patients off, and dips over Ramadan before recovering at Eid. A flat monthly budget overpays in the troughs and underbuys the peak, so we weight spend to the build and the Eid window and pull back in deep summer.

Because laser outcomes depend on hair colour, skin tone and the platform you run, and an enquiry from someone who is not a candidate costs you a consultation slot and sends a disappointed person away. Two candidacy questions on the form raise your cost per enquiry on purpose and raise your consultation-to-course rate by more.

Cost per course sold and course completion rate. Cost per enquiry is hygiene: it should sit inside its band and then be left alone. We have seen two clinics with identical cost per enquiry differ two-to-one on revenue per patient, entirely from what they sold and how many sessions patients attended.

They are some of the cheapest late-stage intent available to a Dubai clinic. Patients search Soprano, Candela, Alma and specific wavelengths by name, usually after they have been consulted somewhere and want to compare. Most clinic accounts we audit are not bidding on these terms at all, which leaves the comparison to whoever is.

We work out your contribution per completed course, then back out what a laser enquiry is actually worth to you. You will leave with that ceiling, the cost-per-enquiry band to expect, a seasonal spend plan, and the offer structure we would run. Most clinics find they can afford more per enquiry than they have been paying.
