Dental marketing for Dubai and UAE clinics

Measured on started cases, not on leads.

AdGrow runs campaigns for dental clinics in Dubai and across the UAE: implants, veneers and smile design, clear aligners and general dentistry. Clear aligner enquiries are the most expensive patient leads we buy anywhere, and they are frequently the best ones.

That combination breaks the usual report. A dental account judged on cost per lead will always look worse than a facial account and will usually be worth more. So we measure dental on cost per started case and build the funnel around the scan appointment.

The anchor number

AED 152.
The dearest lead on the board, and the best.

Clear aligner enquiries cost more than anything else we buy for a clinic. Judged on cost per lead they are the worst line in the account. Judged on the case behind them they are the reason to run it.

A clear aligner enquiry in Dubai costs between AED 72 and AED 152. That is the top of the board: three to seven times what a facial enquiry costs on the same account, and above the blended average of AED 62.72 across 35 months and AED 1M+ of Meta spend on a Dubai clinic account we manage.

Now put the case value next to it. An aligner case is a five-figure treatment delivered over months. A facial is an hour. If you are paying AED 152 for an enquiry that leads to an aligner case at a reasonable rate, you are buying the cheapest growth available to a dental practice, and your cost-per-lead report is telling you the opposite.

This is the specific reason dental accounts get throttled. A practice owner looks at the report, sees the aligner line costing double the clinic average, and asks for it to be brought down. It can be brought down. It will bring the cases down with it.

Cost per enquiry, AED. The bar is the band each treatment moves inside on live UAE clinic accounts.

TreatmentCost per leadWhat sets it
Facial & HydraFacialAED 21 – 54An hour of chair time at a modest margin. Cheap to acquire and worth comparatively little on its own.
Laser hair removalAED 35 – 56A packaged course with predictable economics, which keeps the enquiry cost tight and the planning simple.
Botox & DysportAED 50 – 116A repeat aesthetic habit in a contested auction, priced by how the offer reads.
Dermal fillerAED 66 – 202Higher ticket, real research behind the decision, and a limited pool of ready patients at any time.
Clear alignersAED 72 – 152Months of consideration on a five-figure case. The dearest enquiry here, and the one with the highest value behind it by a wide margin.

The arithmetic that settles it. Take your contribution on a completed aligner case, multiply by the share of started cases that complete, then multiply by your scan-to-start rate and your enquiry-to-scan rate. The result is what one aligner enquiry is worth to your practice. Compare it with AED 152.

Almost every dental clinic we run this with discovers it can afford several times what it is currently paying, and has been capping the one campaign that was working. The constraint was never the auction; it was the report.

The method

How we run a
dental account.

Five decisions. The first is a measurement change, and it is the one that unlocks the other four.

  • Measure cost per started case, not cost per lead. A started case is the first event in a dental funnel that correlates with revenue. Everything before it, including the enquiry and the first phone call, is a leading indicator that can move in the wrong direction while the business improves. We instrument the chain from click to started case and report the whole thing, which usually means connecting your practice management system rather than trusting platform conversions.
  • Make the scan the conversion. The intraoral scan or consultation appointment is where a dental enquiry becomes real, and it is the right thing to ask for in the ad. A free scan is a concrete, low-anxiety, specific offer. It also gives the clinician something to show, and a patient who has seen their own scan on a screen starts treatment at a far higher rate than one who has had a conversation about price.
  • Run implants and aligners as different funnels. An implant patient is usually older, often in some discomfort, and deciding between clinics on confidence and clinical credibility. An aligner patient is usually younger, under no pressure at all, and deciding between clinics on price, convenience and finance. Shared creative serves neither; shared targeting wastes both budgets.
  • Lead with finance, because the objection is monthly not total. On a five-figure treatment the question is never really the total, it is whether the monthly figure fits. Clinics that put instalment options in the ad and on the landing page rather than at the end of the consultation see a visibly higher scan-to-start rate. This is a copy and page decision that behaves like a pricing decision.
  • Take the aggregator searches back. Patients search provider directories and marketplaces for aligners and implants in Dubai, which means your practice is often bidding against the supplier whose product you fit. Owning your own branded and treatment search presence, and appearing properly for the comparison terms, is how you stop paying a referral margin on a patient who was already looking for you.

What we build

The parts of a
dental campaign.

Scan-appointment campaigns

Meta and Google campaigns asking for the scan rather than a general enquiry, with the appointment framed as the specific, free, fifteen-minute thing it is.

Started-case tracking

The chain from ad click to scan attended to case started, wired up so the weekly report shows cost per started case. This is build work before it is media work, and it is the part most dental accounts are missing.

Separate implant and aligner funnels

Different creative, different audiences, different landing pages and different targets, because the two patients share nothing except your building.

Finance-forward landing pages

The monthly figure stated plainly, with the instalment options and what they require, so the patient arrives at the scan with the affordability question already answered.

Clinician-led video

Our shoot team films the dentist walking through what a scan involves and what the treatment timeline actually looks like. On a five-figure decision the patient is buying a clinician, and this is also the content that earns search and AI visibility.

Comparison and brand search coverage

Search campaigns on your own name, on the aligner and implant systems you fit, and on the comparison terms patients use late in the decision, so the aggregators are not the only answer.

The chain

Why cost per lead
is the wrong instrument here.

Follow one aligner patient through a Dubai dental practice. They see an ad and enquire. The front desk reaches them and books a scan. They attend the scan, see their own teeth on a screen, and discuss a plan. They go away and think about the monthly cost. Some weeks later they start treatment.

There are four conversion steps in that sequence and cost per lead measures the first one. A practice can halve its cost per lead by loosening the form and broadening the audience, watch the enquiry count double, and start fewer cases than it did before. We have seen exactly that happen, and it looks like success for about six weeks.

The reverse is equally common and more painful. A clinic tightens its targeting, adds a qualifying question about timeframe, and its cost per lead rises by half. Judged on the report, the campaign has got worse and gets paused. Judged on started cases it had just become the most profitable thing the practice was doing.

So the first piece of work on a dental account is almost never creative. It is connecting the scan and the started case back to the ad that caused them, usually by getting the practice management system talking to the ad platforms. Until that exists, every decision about the account is being made on the one number in the chain that is least related to revenue.

A reasonable interim step if that integration will take time. Have the front desk record the source against every scan booked, by hand, for one month. It is imperfect and it is vastly better than nothing, and it is usually enough to show which campaigns deserve the budget while the proper tracking is built.

Clinic account · Dubai · Treatment-level testing

A target per treatment, which is how the aligner range exists.

A multi-branch Dubai clinic account we manage, AED 1M+ of Meta spend over 35 months, more than 16,000 patient enquiries, blended at AED 62.72. Clear aligners sit at the top of that board at AED 72 to AED 152 and facials at the bottom at AED 21 to AED 54.

We can state that spread because the account held a separate target for every treatment instead of one clinic average. A practice running one campaign across implants, aligners and hygiene never finds out which of them it is actually buying.

  • A separate cost-per-lead target per treatment, agreed in advance

1,791 enquiries at AED 48.38, and why that is not the dental benchmark.

This window ran on a treatment at the cheaper end of the account and came in below the blended figure. We include it because it is the comparison a dental practice will be shown by somebody else: a low cost per lead from a different treatment line, presented as what your account should achieve.

It is not. An aligner enquiry at three times this cost is the better purchase, and a dental account held to this number will be a dental account that has stopped buying cases.

  • A cheaper treatment line, isolated with its own budget
  • Included here as a contrast, not as a dental target
  • The dental comparison that matters is cost per started case

How we work with dental practices

The chain measured
end to end.

What you get

  • Cost per started case in the weekly report, not just cost per enquiry
  • The scan appointment built as the conversion, with tracking to match
  • Implants and aligners run as genuinely separate funnels
  • Finance stated on the page, not saved for the end of the consultation
  • The practice keeps the ad account, the clinician footage and the patient data

What you won't get

  • A cheaper aligner lead bought by loosening the form and broadening the audience
  • Your best campaign paused because its cost per lead looks high in isolation
  • One set of creative serving implant and aligner patients at once
  • Decisions about your best campaign made on the weakest number in the chain

Questions

What dental practices
ask us first.

Cost per started case. There are four conversion steps between an ad click and a patient in treatment, and cost per lead measures the first one. A practice can halve its cost per lead by loosening the form and broadening the audience, double its enquiry count, and start fewer cases than before. That looks like success for roughly six weeks.

Between AED 72 and AED 152 on the account we manage, which is the top of the board and well above the blended AED 62.72 across every treatment on it. That is the correct outcome rather than a problem: the case behind an aligner enquiry is worth a multiple of the treatments that produce cheaper leads.

Take your contribution on a completed case, multiply by the share of started cases that complete, then by your scan-to-start rate and your enquiry-to-scan rate. The result is what one enquiry is worth. Most practices we do this with find they can afford several times what they are paying, and have been capping the campaign that was working best.

Because it is concrete, short and low-anxiety, and because it gives the clinician something to show. A patient who has seen their own scan on a screen starts treatment at a far higher rate than one who has only discussed price. It converts an abstract decision into a specific one.

No. The implant patient is typically older, often uncomfortable, and choosing on clinical confidence. The aligner patient is typically younger, under no time pressure, and choosing on price, convenience and finance. They share your building and nothing else, so shared creative underperforms for both and shared targeting wastes both budgets.

On a five-figure treatment the objection is the monthly figure, not the total. Clinics that state instalment options in the ad and on the landing page rather than at the end of the consultation see a higher scan-to-start rate, because the affordability question is answered before the patient is sitting in front of a treatment plan.

Have the front desk record the source against every scan booked, by hand, for one month. It is imperfect and far better than deciding on platform leads alone. In most practices it is enough to show which campaigns deserve budget while the proper integration is built.

We work out what an aligner and an implant enquiry are each worth to your practice, then look at where your current chain loses patients between enquiry and started case. You will leave with those two ceilings, the tracking that needs building, and the funnel structure we would run.
