Shortlist e-commerce agencies in Dubai on three things: whether they can show a reconciled account result with dates and spend, whether they will separate media spend from fees in writing, and whether you keep the ad accounts and data if you leave. Follower counts and award pages tell you nothing about either.
The short version
- Ask every agency the same questions, including us. A shortlist is only useful if the comparison is like for like.
- Demand one reconciled example: dates, spend, revenue, and what the attribution does not prove.
- Separate four costs before comparing any retainer: media, management, creative production, and development.
- Account and data ownership is the clause that decides your real switching cost, not the monthly fee.
What should a UAE store compare agencies on?
Start with the problem you have. A store with plenty of traffic and a 1.1% conversion rate needs different work from a store converting well on AED 8,000 a month that wants to reach AED 40,000. The first needs the page and the offer fixed. The second needs account structure, creative volume and margin discipline.
Most agency pages describe services rather than problems, so the comparison has to come from you. Write down the single number you want to move, then ask each agency what they would do in the first 30 days and what they would need from you to do it.
Which e-commerce agencies should a Dubai store shortlist?
This is an editorial shortlist based on publicly described services, checked in October 2026. AdGrow publishes this article and is included in it, so it is not an independent ranking. The descriptions below are each agency’s own stated positioning, not evidence of results.
| Agency | Publicly described focus | Question to ask them |
|---|---|---|
| AdGrow | Meta and Google paid media for UAE stores, with tracking and CRO underneath it | Which account can you open on a screen share, and what does the attribution not prove? |
| Creative971 | Shopify Plus partner working exclusively on Shopify, Dubai based since 2016 | Who handles paid media if the build is finished and sales still do not come? |
| Eastside Co | International Shopify practice covering design, development, marketing and apps, with a Dubai presence | Which team members are in this region and which are not? |
| Red Goat | Shopify growth marketing with teams in Montreal and Dubai, serving North America, Europe and the GCC | How much of your GCC experience is UAE rather than wider region? |
| TRMC | Certified Shopify partner combining web design and performance marketing | Is the performance work run by the same people who built the store? |
Directories such as Clutch, DesignRush and Sortlist will give you a longer list. Treat their ordering as paid placement and review signals rather than a performance ranking, and verify anything that matters directly with the agency.
What evidence should you ask each agency for?
One reconciled example is worth more than a page of logos. Reconciled means the spend, the revenue, the date range and the attribution basis are all stated, and the agency says plainly what the numbers do not prove.
Here is ours, so you can see the shape of the answer you should be asking for. On a UAE store we have run for more than two years, the last 90 days produced AED 213,502 in conversion value on AED 39,372 of Google spend from 573 conversions, which is 5.1x at account level. Across those two years the same account held 4x to 5x on AED 18,000 to AED 20,000 a month. Separately, a fashion store we rebuilt from scratch produced its best 60-day window in March and April 2023 at 11.75x, $160K of revenue on $13.6K of spend, and a second store on the same playbook returned $38.3K on $6.76K at 5.67x in the same window.
Note what that last figure is not. It is a dated 60-day window on a rebuilt account, not a sustained average, and we publish it that way on purpose. An agency that quotes a peak window as its normal performance is telling you something about how it will report to you later.
Who owns your ad accounts and data when you leave?
Ask it before you sign, in writing. If the agency runs your campaigns inside its own Business Manager or its own Google Ads account, then the conversion history, the audiences and the learning belong to them. Changing agency means starting the optimisation from zero, which is a far larger cost than any difference in retainer.
The answer you want is that the work happens in your accounts, on your Business Manager, with the agency holding access rather than ownership. Ask the same question about the product feed, the tracking container and any landing pages they build.
How do you compare proposals that are not like for like?
Split every quote into four lines and compare the lines, not the totals.
| Cost line | Who it goes to | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Media spend | Meta and Google | Whether it is billed to your card or theirs, and who holds the invoice |
| Management fee | The agency | Whether it is a flat fee or a percentage of spend, and what happens when spend rises |
| Creative production | Shoots, editors, creators | How many new concepts a month are included before extra charges start |
| Development and tracking | Developers and analytics | Whether fixing your tracking is in scope or quoted separately once they find it broken |
A low retainer with everything useful billed on top is usually the most expensive option. A large bundle is poor value when your store needs one specific fix. The point of splitting the lines is that it makes both visible.
What should the first 90 days deliver?
A measurement baseline agreed in week one, tracking reconciled against your store’s own reporting, a documented campaign structure, and a written benchmark the account will be judged on. Not a promised revenue figure before anyone has looked at your margins.
Ninety days matters because a shorter read mostly measures the learning period. Ask what the agency expects to know at day 30, day 60 and day 90, and what it would do if the numbers at day 60 are worse than at day 30. The quality of that answer separates most shortlists.
A mistake worth avoiding: choosing on the lowest quoted cost per acquisition. Any agency can quote a low one, because the number depends on which conversion it counts and over what attribution window. We have taken over accounts reporting a healthy cost per purchase where the store’s own revenue had not moved for months, because retargeting was re-selling customers who were already coming back. Ask what the agency counts as a conversion before you compare any cost per one.
If you want to assess us against the same criteria, bring your margins, your spend and your store’s own reporting to a call and we will tell you straight whether we can move your number. See how we run store accounts, or read what Google Ads cost across the accounts we manage.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best e-commerce marketing agency in Dubai?
There is no universal answer, and any agency claiming to be it is telling you to stop comparing. Shortlist three, ask all three the same questions about evidence, cost lines and account ownership, and pick on the quality of the answers. Include us in that comparison on the same terms.
Should a UAE store hire a Shopify specialist or a paid media agency?
It depends on which part is failing. If traffic arrives and does not convert, the build and the page are the problem and a Shopify specialist is the right call. If the store converts and you cannot buy traffic profitably, that is a media and margin problem. Some agencies do both, and it is fair to ask which half they are strong at.
How much should a UAE store pay an e-commerce agency?
Compare the four cost lines rather than the headline retainer, and insist that media spend is separated from fees. We do not publish our fee because scope between a single-market store and a multi-country one is too different for one figure to be honest, and any agency quoting a flat price before seeing your account is pricing a guess.
Is a 4x ROAS good for a UAE store?
It depends on your margin, not on the number. A store keeping 70% of revenue can be profitable at 2x. A reseller on 25% margin needs better than 4x just to break even once delivery and returns are counted. Agree the break-even figure for your own margins before you let anyone set a ROAS target.
