How Much Should a Dubai Clinic Spend on Ads?

Most Dubai clinics need AED 10,000 to AED 30,000 a month in ad spend to run one channel properly. The number is set by your treatment price and your consultation capacity, not by the size of your clinic. Below AED 6,000 on a high value treatment you will generate leads you cannot fairly judge.

The short version

  • Budget follows treatment value. A AED 800 facial and a AED 25,000 hair transplant need completely different numbers.
  • The real ceiling is consultation capacity. Leads you cannot call within the hour are wasted money.
  • Below roughly forty leads a month you cannot tell a bad channel from a bad week.
  • Lead cost is the wrong headline metric. Cost per booked consultation is the one that pays salaries.

How much should a Dubai clinic spend on ads?

Plan for AED 10,000 to AED 30,000 a month on one channel, ad spend only. Most single location aesthetic clinics we work with sit between AED 12,000 and AED 20,000 once the account is stable.

That range is wide because it is driven by two things that vary enormously between clinics. The first is what a patient is worth. The second is how many consultations you can physically handle in a week. Get either wrong and the budget number is meaningless.

What does the budget actually have to cover?

More than the clicks. A clinic budget has to fund enough lead volume to reach a judgement, enough creative to avoid fatigue in a small market, and enough retargeting to catch the people who enquired and went quiet.

Dubai is a small audience by ad platform standards. The same people see your ads repeatedly, so creative burns out faster here than in a larger market. Budgeting for one video and expecting it to last a quarter is a common and expensive mistake.

Why do clinic budgets fail below a certain point?

Because you cannot separate signal from noise. Below roughly forty leads a month, one good week and one bad week look like a trend, and clinics start making structural changes based on randomness.

It is also below the volume the platforms need. Meta optimises toward the people most likely to convert, and it needs conversions to learn from. Starve it and it spends your budget guessing, which you pay for at full price.

How does treatment price change the number?

Directly. If a hair transplant is worth AED 20,000 and one in five consultations books, you can afford a far higher cost per lead than a clinic selling AED 600 injectables.

Work backwards instead of guessing. Take your average treatment value, multiply by your consultation to booking rate, and that is what a consultation is worth. You can afford to pay a fraction of that for a lead. Our cost per lead benchmarks for Dubai clinics give you the ranges to sanity check against.

Across the whole of one Dubai clinic account we manage, more than 16,000 patient leads have been produced across 35 months and over AED 1 million of Meta spend, at a blended AED 62.72 each. That is a full account across many months and treatments, not a single strong campaign, and the distinction matters because monthly figures in this category swing hard with season and offer.

What should the first 90 days look like?

Month one is tracking, creative and a baseline. Month two is where cost per lead should start to settle. Month three is the first fair judgement of the channel.

Do not raise budget in month one because leads look cheap. Early cheap leads are usually the easiest part of the audience, and cost rises as you scale into the rest. Raise budget when cost per booked consultation holds steady for three weeks, not when cost per lead looks good for three days.

Monthly ad spend What it realistically supports
Under AED 6,000 A test on one treatment. Not enough volume to judge a channel fairly.
AED 10,000 to AED 15,000 One channel running properly. Enough leads weekly for stable bidding and real creative testing.
AED 15,000 to AED 30,000 Multiple treatments, retargeting funded separately, second channel opening.
AED 30,000 and up Multi location or multi treatment, with creative production as a standing monthly cost.

Whatever tier you land in, check it against your diary before you check it against your bank. A clinic generating sixty leads a week with capacity for twenty consultations is not scaling, it is manufacturing complaints.

A mistake we made: we scaled a clinic account hard because cost per lead was excellent, and we did not ask what happened to the leads. The clinic was calling them the next afternoon. By then most had booked somewhere else. Cost per lead looked like our best account, cost per booked consultation was the worst. We now ask about response time before we raise a budget, and if nobody can call within the hour we say so and hold the spend.

If you are not sure whether your clinic budget is too low, too high or just badly aimed, we can look at the account and the numbers behind it. Book a growth call, or read how we approach clinic marketing in Dubai.

Frequently asked questions

AED 10,000 to AED 30,000 a month on one channel covers most single location aesthetic clinics, with the majority settling between AED 12,000 and AED 20,000. The right point in that range depends on your treatment value and how many consultations you can handle.

You can, but treat it as a test rather than a growth channel. Below roughly forty leads a month you cannot separate a genuinely poor channel from an ordinary bad week, and the platforms do not get enough conversion data to optimise properly.

Yes. Work backwards from average treatment value multiplied by your consultation to booking rate. That tells you what a consultation is worth and therefore what you can afford to pay for a lead. A hair transplant clinic and an injectables clinic should not use the same numbers.

Because the cheapest part of your audience is exhausted first. Early leads come from the people easiest to reach, and scaling pushes you into colder audiences. A moderate rise is normal and healthy as long as cost per booked consultation stays acceptable.

Cost per booked consultation, and after that cost per treatment sold. Lead cost can look excellent while the clinic books almost none of them, usually because nobody is calling fast enough. Response time changes the economics more than bidding does.
